State Rep. Greg Alexander, of Carsonville, is inviting residents to upcoming office hours meetings this month to share their questions and priorities.
Rep. Alexander will also discuss the new Republican majority in the House, government oversight and legislative intervention to ensure court mandates regarding tipped wages and sick leave set to be effective in February do not do irreparable harm to small businesses and their workers.
The trio of meetings will take place at the following times and locations on Monday, Jan. 27 and Friday, Jan. 31:
• Monday, Jan. 27 from 9-10 a.m. at Marlette Township Hall, located at 6725 Airport Road in Marlette.
• Friday, Jan. 31 from 9-10 a.m. at Bad Axe Airport, located at 352 Thompson Road in Bad Axe.
• Friday, Jan. 31 from 11 a.m.-Noon at Sandusky Airport, located at 1213 N. Sandusky Road in Sandusky.
“The 103rd Legislature has begun, and I want to make sure people across our communities are informed and their concerns are being heard,” Alexander said. “With many new pieces of legislation being introduced and committees beginning to meet, this will be an extremely busy time in Lansing. I look forward to meeting with people at these events to chat about the latest and answer any questions they may have.”
No appointments are necessary to attend. Those who are unable to attend but wish to speak with Rep. Alexander can contact his office by calling (517) 373-1791 or emailing GregAlexander@house.mi.gov.
