Rep. Hauck to help shape House committees in upcoming legislative term
RELEASE|November 17, 2020

State Rep. Roger Hauck has been named to a temporary panel that will place Michigan House legislators on certain committees for the 2021-22 term – using their experiences and priorities to help cultivate a tailored approach for residents the Legislature serves.

The Committee on Committees will work with both incoming and returning representatives to determine best fits for committee assignments. Hauck will be entering his third term in the Michigan House.

“I am excited for this opportunity and for people in Isabella and Midland counties to have a seat at the table when it comes to formulating these important assignments,” said Hauck, of Union Township. “Our committee will consider many things when assigning legislators to these roles – such as policy priorities, professional expertise and personal life experience. Through this work, we can develop a tailored approach that will help lead Michigan forward effectively.”

House Speaker-elect Jason Wentworth made public the appointments to the Committee on Committees and the Policy Action Plan Committee today. Both will have large roles in the makeup of the 101st Michigan Legislature.

Rep. Hauck currently serves on the influential House Ways and Means Committee for the current legislative term.
